Bong Joon-ho’s ‘Mickey 17’ to Have International Premiere at 75th Berlinale

After many setbacks, Bong Joon-ho’s Mickey 17 is primed for release and will have an international premiere, out of competition, at the 75th annual Berlin Film Festival. The movie, which will be Joon-ho’s third English-language feature starring Robert Pattinson, Steven Yeun, Naomi Ackie, Toni Collette, and Mark Ruffalo, will release in South Korea on January 28th before bowing out in further territories on March 7th.

At the festival, the movie will be a part of its Berlinale Special screenings, which will also feature Dylan Southern’s The Thing With Feathers, Justin Kurzel’s The Narrow Road to Deep North, Min Kyu-dong’s The Old Woman With the Knife, Anna Muylaert’s The Best Mother in the World, and a restoration screening of Claude Lanzmann’s Shoah, among many others.

The full lineup for the festival will be unveiled on January 21, and the 75th edition of the Berlinale will take place from February 13 to 23.
