Someone like Dale Dickey finally getting their flowers is an absolute pleasure to witness. The veteran actress has been a staple of film and television, showing up in acclaimed movies like Winter’s Bone, as well as all manner of popular shows. Now, she’s gotten the best reviews of her career for Widow’s Bay, which cleaned up, nomination wise, with the Emmys. As voting goes on, the nominee for Outstanding Supporting Actress in a Comedy Series took some time out to talk about how lucky she is to have this honor. Today, our conversation comes your way.

Widow’s Bay has been one of the more surprising success stories of this Emmy season, not due to quality, but just due to how embraced the horror comedy is.
