Awards Radar Podcast #223: Joey and Myles Talk About the Pause in Precursor Season Before Looking at the Recent DGA and SAG Nominations

Welcome back to the Awards Radar Podcast. In each episode, Editor Joey Magidson (that’s me!) will be joined by some of the staff of Awards Radar to talk about the latest in film, television, and entertainment in general. The show will obviously have an awards season slant to it, but we won’t forget about other movies and shows, that’s for sure!

For episode 223, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski behind the scenes as usual. We begin fairly somberly, talking about the Los Angeles wildfires and how the season is taking a more than justified beat. We get into awards season, obviously, but at the top, we’re serious. Precursor-wise, we look at DGA and SAG, as well as their potential Oscar correlation. Plus, I give my thoughts on Wolf Man (reviewed here). It ends up being a long episode, but probably just what you’re looking for. Also, a programming note…the next episode will be final predictions for the Academy Awards and will likely drop on Wednesday, in advance of the nominations the next day. So, make a note of that…
