Ticket to Ride is a popular board game, which in current times means it’s also a prime candidate for a film adaptation. Settlers of Catan is just one recent example of this, as Netflix recently acquired the rights for all sorts of adaptations of that one. Well, Catan is now being joined at the streamer by Ticket to Ride, as a movie is now in development. More below.
According to Deadline, Netflix has picked up the global rights to the game, with a feature first up on their agenda. Ben Mekler and Chris Amick are working on the screenplay, while filmmaker Jonathan Levine is among the producers. No word on a director yet for Ticket to Ride, but once that gets announced, we’ll have it for you. Stay tuned.
