Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey is obviously one of the biggest films of 2026. A critical and financial juggernaut, it’s also poised to dominate awards season, leading up to the Oscars. Universal is not content to rest on their laurels with the movie, however, and have plans to keep it very much on the minds of voters. More below.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Nolan’s film is coming back to theaters nationwide on December 11th, including IMAX 70MM. The Odyssey has already made all the money, so this is as much about keeping it in the awards season conversation. To that end, being in theaters can only help. Stay tuned to see how much.
