The big year for Robert Pattinson continues, as today brings news that he’ll be the recipient of the 40th American Cinematheque Award. The ceremony will be held on February 9th, which will be in the height of awards season. Pattinson could be in the running for Oscar attention with The Odyssey and Primetime, so this could be a pivotal stop for him before the Academy Awards.
In a statment, American Cinematheque board chair Rick Nicita said the following:
“Rob has built an extraordinary career defined by his unwavering dedication to his craft, fearless creative choices, and remarkable versatility as an actor. From his collaborations with some of cinema’s most visionary filmmakers to his ability to captivate audiences in major studio blockbusters, Rob has continually challenged expectations and demonstrated the power of great storytelling. Rob is the perfect choice to receive this award and join our esteemed list of artists who not only love cinema but continue to have a deep impact on our industry. We are thrilled that his filming schedule has allowed us the opportunity to recognize his exceptional contributions to film and we look forward to celebrating his continued achievements.”
