Sean Baker Reveals His Next Film is a “Love Letter to the Italian Sex Comedies of the 60s and 70s”

Ever since Anora dominated the Oscars last year, winning Sean Baker four separate Academy Awards, people have been waiting to find out about his next movie. Baker is currently at the Berlin Film Festival to debut his short film Sandiwara, which stars Michelle Yeoh, and some details about his next feature have emerged. Read on for more.

According to Variety, Baker is planning to make his next film in Italy, potentially starring Vera Gemma. During an interview about Sandiwara at the Berlinale, Variety spoke to the filmmaker about his next project. This is what he had to say about their questions about his new movie:

Oh, yeah. It’s my love letter to the Italian sex comedies of the ’60s and ’70s, so I’m leaning into that. We want to shoot this year.
