One of the most awards friendly elements of F1, perhaps to your surprise, is the myriad Best Original Song contenders within. The film had more than a half dozen songs chart from its soundtrack, so decisions needed to be made, given that the Academy Awards only allow three tunes to be submitted. Now, we know which ones have been.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, the movie has put forth “Just Keep Watching” from Tate McRae, “Drive” from Ed Sheeran, and “Lose My Mind” from Doja Cat. Now, the Oscars only permit two nominees per film, so even if the voters go nuts for F1, only two of these three can be nominated. Stay tuned to see if any of them get in as the season progresses.
