Happy Star Wars Day! I’m sure that I won’t be the first to say this, but let me still put this forward: may the 4th be with you. Yes, every May 4th is Star Wars Day, a time, manufactured or not, to celebrate Star Wars in all of its forms. Today saw a new Trailer released for the upcoming Obi-Wan Kenobi series (check that out here), but for my part, I want to talk about the films. We’re currently in a bit of a holding pattern with Star Wars on the silver screen, so it feels like a good moment to look at the franchise as a whole. So, why not rank the movies in the series so far?
Below, you can see where I come down on the cinematic Star Wars outings. I avoided including the television and animated efforts, since I haven’t seen all of them (but most, including really enjoying The Mandalorian, in particular). But, next you’ll find how I stack the nine Saga flicks, as well as the two “story” ones. Beyond that, just use this piece as a forum to rank the movies on your own, as well as talk about Star Wars in general, however you see fit, including where things might go from here. Plus, make sure you enjoy the day. May the force be with you all!
Here now is how I would rank the Star Wars films, so far:

11. Attack of the Clones
10. The Rise of Skywalker
9. The Phantom Menace
8. Solo
7. Revenge of the Sith
6. Rogue One
5. The Force Awakens
4. Return of the Jedi
3. The Last Jedi
2. The Empire Strikes Back
1. Star Wars

May the 4th be with you! How do each of you rank the Star Wars films? Let us know!
I for one thought it was an outrage when the Death Star plans were leaked to the Rebel Alliance. This shatters the sacred trust we have entrusted to the impartiality and integrity of the Galactic Empire. Hopefully there’s a full investigation and criminal charges are pursued against the leaker… probably some “pro-freedom” and “pro-democracy” leftist extremist.
Ha, too real.
1. The Empire Strikes Back
2. The Last Jedi
3. A New Hope
4. The Force Awakens
5. Revenge of the Sith
–
6. Return of the Jedi
7. Rogue One
8. The Phantom Menace
9. The Mandalorian Season 1
–
10. Attack of the Clones
11. The Rise of Skywalker
12. The Mandalorian Season 2
13. The Book of Boba Fett
I just want them to pick great directors again and to quit it with the legacy characters.
No argument here.
