David Lynch Boards Steven Spielberg’s ‘The Fablemans’

Is this one of the greatest casting news stories of all time? Probably. Acclaimed film director David Lynch has been confirmed to join Steven Spielberg‘s latest film, The Fablemans, per a report from Variety. Lynch has directed a number of revered films, including Blue Velvet, Mulholland Drive and, Wild at Heart (the latter won the Palme d’Or at Cannes in 1990), and also starred in his TV series, Twin Peaks as Gordon Cole.

Aside from starring in his own films/series, Lynch has also starred in Lucky, Zelly and Me and has narrated Netflix’s Girlfriends Day. The Fabelmans will mark Lynch’s first collaboration with Steven Spielberg, which is sure to entice the most hardcore of film buffs.

Lynch now joins an already star-studded cast comprised of Paul Dano, Seth Rogen, Michelle Williams, Julia Butters, Oakes Fegley, Gabriel Bateman, and Judd Hirsch, alongside presumed lead Gabe LaBelle. The Fablemans is written by Tony Kushner and Spielberg, and will release in theatres on November 23, 2022.
