Art Directors Guild Awards Announce Their Nominations!

The Art Directors Guild (ADG) have announced the nominees for the 25th Annual Excellence in Production Design Awards, for theatrical motion pictures, television, commercials, music videos, and animation features.

Looking at the film categories, we’ve got several of our big contenders for the Oscar nods, including Mank, Ma Rainey’s Black Bottom, News of the World, Mulan, Tenet, and more. Emma is a bit of a surprising exclusion, although it faced arguably the toughest category for the ADG, as we often see the majority of the Oscar nominees coming from the “Period Feature Film” category here.

The winners will be announced at the ADG Awards ceremony, which will take place on Saturday April 10, 2021, starting at 4:00pm PST/7:00pm EST. The ceremony will be streamed virtually, and will include the presentation of the Cinematic Imagery Award to Ryan Murphy
