James Wan takes his time in between projects. While he surprised many with his wild horror film Malignant, his most recent movie has been Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom from the now defunct DCEU. Well, he has a new film planned, one that he’s hoping to have no less than Keanu Reeves star in. More below.
According to Variety, Reeves is in talks to star in The Gangster, The Cop, The Devil for Wan. Eric Pearson wrote the latest version of the script, based on previous drafts by Shay Hatten and Brian Helgeland, as the movie has been in development for nearly a decade. Paramount is behind this reimagining of the hit Korean film, which follows a police officer and a gangster as they reluctantly join forces to track down a serial killer. If the deal comes together, Reeves would star opposite original lead Don Lee, assuming the deal comes together. Keep an eye on this one.
