As Netflix gets ready to debut The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth in just about a month, the press machine is beginning to rumble. Recently, director David Fincher and writer Quentin Tarantino were both interviewed by Empire Magazine, with that conversation revealing some cuts made to the original screenplay. More below.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Fincher told Empire that he cut 60 pages from Tarantino’s script, bringing the length down from originally 230 pages. Depending on how it’s filmed, that would mean The Further Mis-Adventures of Cliff Booth runs about the same as Once Upon a Time in Hollywood. Interestingly, Fincher in the interview said how the film is not really about plot, while Tarantino says the movie is far more plot-related than the prior work. So, we’ll see what that means in November,.
