Teaser Trailer Released for ‘Josephine’

One of the most acclaimed titles at this year’s Sundance Film Festival, winning the U.S. Dramatic Competition and Audience Award, was Josephine. Starring Channing Tatum, Gemma Chan, and breakout young actress Mason Lily Reeves, the film is poised to be a potential awards contender later on this year ( you can see Joey’s rave review out of Sundance here). Today, a teaser trailer has been released for the movie, well in advance of its November 20th release date.

This is the synopsis for the film:

Written, produced, and directed by Beth de Araújo, featuring a breakout debut from actress Mason Lily Reeves, and the critically acclaimed performances from Channing Tatum, Gemma Chan, and Phillip Ettinger, JOSEPHINE follows the psychological fallout after eight-year-old Josephine (Reeves) witnesses a crime in Golden Gate Park. As she acts out, her parents (Tatum and Chan) struggle with helping their daughter cope, while facing their own fears around the topic and how to address it with their child.
