Awards Radar Podcast #291: Joey Gives Myles the Lowdown on ‘The Mandalorian and Grogu’ and ‘Power Ballad’ Before Some Cannes Award Speculation

Welcome back to the Awards Radar Podcast. In each episode, Editor Joey Magidson (that’s me!) will be joined by some of the staff of Awards Radar to talk about the latest in film, television, and entertainment in general. The show will obviously have an awards season slant to it, but we won’t forget about other movies and shows, that’s for sure!

For episode 291, I’m joined once again by my co-host Myles Hughes, with producer Steve Prusakowski working behind the scenes on Emmy season content and, of course, TV Topics. Programming note: while this episode is a normal one, next week’s episode is being recorded right around this one and won’t reflect anything that happens this weekend or next week. Just keep that in mind. As for this one, we spend a bit of time talking about Star Wars, since my review (here) of The Mandalorian and Grogu went up a few days ago. I also give my thoughts on Power Ballad, while Myles chimes in on The Sheep Detectives. Throw in your questions, as well as some late chatter about the actors rumored to be auditioning for James Bond, and it’s a very solid episode. Apologies for my voice, as there’s some seasonal allergies at play, but we work around it, for you. You’re welcome, folks (I kid).

As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 291st one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week, so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!
