‘Game of Thrones’ Movie in the Works at Warner Bros. with Beau Willimon Writing the Script

It looks like the world of Game of Thrones is expanding from the small screen to the big screen as well. Reports and rumors for a few years now have had Warner Bros. looking to get a film version going, though nothing concrete had ever been laid down. Well, that seems to have changed, as an Andor writer is aboard to pen the screenplay. More below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Game of Thrones movie has Beau Willimon writing a script. The project will also potentially encompass a new television series, as the plot, centered on King Aegon I Targaryen’s conquest of the land of Westeros, is certainly big enough for both. There had been rival projects in development, but at least for now, a cinematic version is likely to be headed our way. More when we have it.
