First there’s the British Academy Film Awards and the U.K. Film Critics Association showering awards on two uniquely American films, then there’s this French organization bestowing the most nominations on a movie directed by an American.

Considering how much we’ve pissed off all of Europe over the last twelve months, it seems like they’ve been pretty open to loving on our filmmakers.
