It Was Just an Accident

The only movie whose presence here actively pisses me off is Wicked: For Good.
I was disappointed in Hamnet and Frankenstein but I “get” why others love those movies. There are compelling arguments for both, even if I disagree with them. I cannot even imagine a decent argument in favor of declaring Wicked: For Good one of the top ten best American-produced movies of the year, especially when the infinitely superior Roofman and If I Had Legs I’d Kick You were right there.
Heck, I wasn’t even as big on Springsteen: Deliver Me From Nowhere as Joey was, and I would have picked that over Wicked: For Good in half-a-heartbeat, if the AFI was so dead-set on including at least one musical from last year.
