First Trailer for ‘Baahubali: The Eternal War’ Continues S.S. Rajamouli’s Franchise as an Animated Film

The first trailer for Baahubali: The Eternal War has been released online. A continuation of the Baahubali films directed by S.S. Rajamouli, the animated spinoff of the live-action franchise is the first of a two-part story, directed by Ishan Shukla and written by Scott Mosier.

Prabhas will reprise his role as the film’s titular character, with Ramya Krishna also joining him to portray Sivagami once again. Here is the plot synopsis:

“Set in the wake of the iconic cliffhanger that ended “Baahubali: The Beginning,” “The Eternal War” will follow the betrayed and murdered prince Amarendra Baahubali into the afterlife. His heart aching for those he left behind, Amarendra Baahubali finds himself at the center of an ancient cosmic war between devas and asuras. As he navigates through the 14 realms of existence, he forges an unlikely alliance, confronts divine forces beyond mortal comprehension, and fights to restore balance to the cosmos.”

In a statement, director S.S. Rajamouli, who is a producer of The Eternal War, had this to say:

“When Ishan brought us the idea of expanding the Baahubali universe into a stylised animated epic, it clicked instantly. It feels like a seamless, organic extension of the world we built, one that will thrill long‑time fans and invite new audiences in. I am excited to bring these two films to the big screen.”
