The runtime has officially been revealed for Christopher Nolan‘s The Odyssey, and it will be yet another long motion picture from the Academy Award-winning director of Oppenheimer! While shorter than his previous film, which ran at exactly three hours, The Odyssey will reportedly clock in at 172 minutes, per AMC and IMAX.
However, the runtime has since been removed from the sites of both exhibitors, but it’s likely been speculated that the film would be around that three-hour range, ever since tickets for select IMAX 70mm screenings went on sale a year ahead of its release, after the teaser trailer premiered in front of Jurassic World Rebirth.
At that time, theatre chains listed a placeholder runtime of three hours, so it’s completely unsurprising that the film’s official runtime falls within that range. Full tickets for Nolan’s mythological epic are likely to go on sale soon, so keep an eye out for more information as it is released!
