Recently, it came out in the stories about Amazon MGM taking over the James Bond franchise that Christopher Nolan actually expressed recent interest in directing, only for Barbara Broccoli to essentially turn him down. Well, Broccoli is out and Amazon is in. Could that lead to another crack at Nolan? Perhaps, it seems.
According to The Wrap, there’s a sentiment in Hollywood among producers that Amazon not only needs to, but is going to, pursue Nolan for 007. Considering how he’s been interested in Bond before, it’s not completely impossible. Is this a long shot? Of course. Could it happen? Maybe. Stay tuned to find out.

As much as I don’t want this partnership to happen, it would be pretty funny if, after being turned down for James Bond in the past, Christopher Nolan responded to an offer to direct this time around with an “Actually, I made a new friend named ‘Oscar’ and he says I should be paid double what you’re proposing. Take it or leave it.”
Especially since they’ll probably say yes.
They probably would, too.
