Welcome back to my Home Movies! Today, it’s New Year’s Eve, so it’s a good time to look back, Blu-ray/DVD/4K style. As such, it’s another hybrid with the Awards Radar Community Question. Next week, the column should be back to normal, I promise. Today, however, we’ve got something to ask. The question is…what was your favorite 4K or Blu-ray release of 2024?

If it’s a new release, just say the word. It could be your favorite film of the year, something you didn’t get to see in theaters, or perhaps just a title that you wanted to show your friends and family? Whatever the case is, let us know. For me, things like Challengers, Conclave, and Longlegs would be flicks that applied. Your mileage may vary, of course.

On the other hand, maybe it’s a 4K or Blu-ray debut for an older film? Perhaps it’s a Criterion Collection release? There were some really strong ones in 2024 (No Country For Old Men being a recent one, for example), with more to come in 2025, and that’s always a part of the column.
