Fans of Romy and Michele’s High School Reunion have been waiting almost 30 years for a sequel. Ever since the comedy released in 1997, people have been asking about it. Well, according to star Mira Sorvino, it’s actually now close to happening.
According to Deadline, Sorvino says a sequel is close to being green lit and that co-star Lisa Kudrow is on board. Almost every character would be back, a director is attached, and original screenwriter Robin Schiff has penned multiple drafts. So, while nothing is a sure thing, a sequel is closer than ever, so fans may well be able to rejoice soon.
