For years, Hollywood has had their sites set on making a biopic about the band the Bee Gees. Initially, Kenneth Branagh was going to helm the movie, though more recently John Carney and then subsequently Lorene Scafaria had come onboard. She’s apparently not in the director’s chair anymore. Who is? Well, none other than Ridley Scott.
According to Variety, Scott is going to be the latest director to take a crack at this film. Hot off of Napoleon, the director will be reuniting with writer John Logan who penned the most recent script. Scott always has a lot of projects brewing, but he does seem to shoot relatively quickly, so if this gets off the ground, we know we won’t have to wait too long to see the legendary musicians depicted on the big screen. Stay tuned.
