As I’ve continued to cover the aftermath of the Academy Award nominations, I find that I get the most enjoyment out of exploring the roads not taken by Oscar. Whether it’s my annual Alternate Oscar lineup (the latest one is here) or any of our other musings, it has a sense of fun that just recapping the snubs and surprises does not. So, for this weekend’s Awards Radar Community Question, I thought you all should get in on the fun. As such, the question to you all is as follows: who or what would you add to the Oscar lineup if you had an extra pick in each category?
You have an opportunity to just have fun here, too. Tell us your actual favorites. I listed the likely sixth place finishers here yesterday, but they don’t have to be your picks. For me, I know I’d be seeing the likes of Air, The Iron Claw, and Saltburn not be getting shut out. Does that jive with your preferences? If not, chime in…
