On Tuesday morning, Peacock released first-look images and the trailer for their upcoming limited series Angelyne. The series is set to premiere all of its episodes on the platform on May 19.

Starring Emmy Rossum in the titular lead, the show chronicles the real tale of Angelyne, a woman who rose to fame and prominence in 80s Los Angeles after posing suggestively on a series of billboards.

The show will also star the likes of Martin Freeman, Hamish Linklater, Michael Angarano, Molly Ephraim, Philip Ettinger, Lukas Gage, Charlie Rowe, Alex Karpovsky, and David Krumholtz.

The first look images boast Emmy Rossum’s transformation into the role of Angelyne, as well as the 80s hair, fashion, and sets. Rossum, who also serves as the show’s executive producer, said of Angelyne and of the series, “she’s as if Marilyn Monroe got into an easy bake oven with a 80s punk Barbie Doll, and a dose of new age spirituality. She’s a trailblazer, a hustler, a visionary, the original influencer, a living-breathing piece of art. Here is a little taste of the show. I hope you fall in love with her magic.” With a captivating premise and lead, and providing another blast from the past, Angelyne is certainly a show not to miss.

Keep an eye out for interviews with the cast and team behind Angelyne coming soon to Awards Radar!
