We’re a little less than a year out from Star Wars: Starfighter, which functions as a standalone Star Wars film, but Lucasfilm is clearly thinking of what comes after that movie. Well, they seem to have a plan in place, one that involves some old characters, as well as a new director. The person helming this next Star Wars production? None other than Jon Watts. More below on this project.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Watts is going to direct the next Star Wars film, which will be the continuation of the Skywalker Saga. Simon Kinberg wrote the screenplay, and actually has penned a trilogy, so this will be more than just Episode X. Daisy Ridley is expected to have her character of Rey Skywalker involved in some capacity. More on this one when we have it.
