The Sunday Scaries are upon us once again! Yes, as the weekend concludes, most of us feel an oncoming sense of anticipatory dread about the week ahead. Anxiety about work manifests itself into a feeling that’s known as the Sunday Scaries. However, we at Awards Radar are here to combat that, by taking back the name. Now, we want you think about a horror-centric piece on the site when you hear the term. So, let us continue on with another installment of the Awards Radar Sunday Scaries! Today, we’re looking at a recent horror list that caught our attention…
A few days ago, The Hollywood Reporter published their list of the 25 best horror films of the 21st century. You can see that list here, as well as Myles and I discussing it on the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast here. There, we also did our own Top 25 lists, which you can see below. Today, our Sunday Scaries is also an Awards Radar Community Question post, as we’d like you all to chime in as well. Which movies would top your 21st century horror lists?

What are your picks for the best horror films of the 21st century? Let us know!

Here are some movies that didn’t appear on either list that I think deserve some recognition:
• The Assistant
• Dawn of the Dead
• The Descent (U.K. Cut)
• The Devil’s Rejects
• The House of the Devil
• Jesus Camp (does this count as a horror movie? I’m gonna say it does…)
• Joy Ride
• Mad God
• Malignant
• Strange Darling
I wasn’t sure if I should include Thirst, Dogtooth, and The Menu, since they’re arguably more dark comedies than horror. But then again, so is American Psycho.
Love the additions!
