Quentin Tarantino is Writing a Play As His Likely Next Project

The wait is on for Quentin Tarantino to give us his final film. Initially, it was planned to be The Movie Critic, until he opted to scrap that idea, at least for now. Well, he was at the currently ongoing Sundance Film Festival (look for Joey and Shane to begin their reviews from the online component of the festival very soon, btw) for a conversation with Elvis Mitchell and revealed what he’s doing right now. Spoiler alert: it’s not a movie.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Tarantino is writing a play that he plans to be his next project. In the conversation, he speaks of the play being what he’ll do next, how it could potentially turn into a film if it’s a smash hit, and how he’s more focused on his children growing up than jumping behind a camera. It sounds like that final film will have to wait for a while, but once it comes, we’ll all be excited. In the meantime, hopefully we’ll hear more about this play soon.
