Interview: ‘The Greatest Hits’ Star Lucy Boynton Talks About the Pleasure of Exploring Emotions

Lucy Boynton deserves to be a star. Watching Sing Street when that first was released, it was clear then. Now, with The Greatest Hits, she’s been given a vehicle and doesn’t disappoint. As I say in our chat, the future is very bright for her. The film showcases it, as does her overall personality, as you’re about to find out.

In my review of The Greatest Hits (here), I had the following to say about Boynton’s performance:

Lucy Boynton has a tough assignment on her hands and handles it with aplomb. She has to turn on a dime whenever the songs interfere in the present, and while the moviemaking helps, she’s doing a lot. I was very impressed with her performance.

Below, you can see my conversation with Boynton. We talk about getting to explore emotions in the safe space of a movie set, how she knew co-star David Corenswet was perfect for Superman, and more. She’s a lovely person, a talented actress, and getting to show off her skills in The Greatest Hits right now. It’s streaming currently on Hulu, so if you haven’t seen it yet, you can literally check it out today…
