In the aftermath of the massive success of The Super Mario Bros. Movie, it was inevitable that Nintendo would have more big screen projects in the works. In fact, Joey wrote here about some of the other video games ripe for an adaptation. Well, one of his picks is getting the film treatment in The Legend of Zelda. However, there’s an important note here about the type of film it’s becoming.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, not only are we getting a Legend of Zelda movie, it’s live-action, too. Wes Ball has been hired to direct, suggesting this is going to be a big fantasy epic. No word yet on anything else, but this is very much in development and immediately a hugely anticipated project for many fans.

Video games.
