Academy Award-nominated and two-time Emmy Award-nominated producer Simon Kinberg and David Weil brought Invasion to AppleTV+ in 2021. The first season started the story of an alien invasion told from multiple perspectives across the globe. Season two picks up just months after the events of season one, with the aliens escalating their attacks in an all-out war against the humans using their savage and impossibly fast infantry.
Series co-creator and this season’s showrunner Simon Kinberg described the season as such, “As season two starts, the aliens have a stronger foothold on Earth,” he shares. “This is the beginning of our fighting back and the rebellion that is the story of this season. Mankind and the Earth are in a significantly worse place. There are more aliens here, so we have a refugee crisis. They’re terraforming
Earth and changing the atmosphere. Many may not survive. These new aliens are attacking and killing humans in a completely different and more violent way, and they are affecting our psychology. They do that by excavating and taking pieces of our memory from us. That’s the scariest part, an alien that
actually gets inside your mind and they can start to create gaps.”
The second season stars returning cast members Golshifteh Farahani, Shioli Kutsuna, Shamier Anderson, India Brown, Billy Barratt, Azhy Robertson, Paddy Holland and Tara Moayedi, who are joined by new series regulars Enver Gjokaj, Nedra Marie Taylor and Naian González Norvind.
With each passing day the fate of humanity grows grimmer as the relentless aliens attack from within. Enjoy this exclusive clip from tomorrow’s episode “Down the Rabbit Hole,” where Trevante (Anderson) and Rose (Taylor) investigate a clue that leads them to Ben Shelton’s farm. Monty (Holland) has suspicions about the mission and confides in Jamila (Brown).
If you have yet to catch up with Invasion, now is the time to join the fight to save humanity as the series heads towards what is sure to be an exciting season two finale. Watch all of season one and catch new episodes premiering each Wednesday exclusively on Apple TV+
