One of the fun storylines for this awards season has been speculating on where Sandra Hüller could score her next Oscar nomination, and what for. Early on, it appeared like Hüller was looking to contend in Best Actress for her international efforts with Fatherland and Rose, while Best Supporting Actress would be where she sought attention for her Hollywood efforts, Digger and Project Hail Mary. Well, it appears like that’s been jumbled a bit. More below.
According to Variety, Hüller is going Supporting for Fatherland. With Digger likely out of the picture for her, this allows Fatherland and Project Hail Mary to be her Supporting Actress play, with the former now more likely than the latter. Plus, this means Rose is her sole play in Actress, setting up a world where she can get into both categories. Update your predictions accordingly.
