Well, a big one has fallen. A lot of eyes were on Dune: Part Two as a barometer for what the biggest releases of the latter part of 2023 were going to do while the strikes are going on. Would Warner Bros. opt to release the epic sequel without the likes of Zendaya and Timothée Chalamet to promote it in various places? It seems we have an answer today, though it’s not one many wanted to hear.
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Dune: Part Two is pushing to 2024. Instead of opening on November 3rd, it’s going to hit theaters on March 15th. After skipping the fall film festivals, it did seem like this was an option for the movie. The hotly anticipated Denis Villeneuve picture is still coming, just now next year. Stay tuned for more.
