Paramount Unveils 2023 Celebrations of Star Trek Day

Paramount has announced its plans for the annual Star Trek Day celebrations on September 8 on both Paramount+ and CBS. Per a press release, Star Trek debuted for the first time on television with “The Man Trap” on September 8, 1966, and the show has gone through multiple iterations on the small and big screen.

For this year’s celebrations, a special program hosted by Jerry O’Connell will be available to watch globally on StarTrek.com/Day, YouTube, Twitch, and Facebook. In the U.S., the special will be available to stream on Paramount+, Pluto TV, and Mixable and will air on select local CBS affiliates, Comedy Central, Paramount Network, Pop TV, Fave TV, and Smithsonian.com.

Moreover, two highly popular Star Trek: Strange New Worlds episodes will premiere on CBS, with the series premiere and second episode at 8 pm ET/PT. Even cooler, a special theatrical event, Star Trek: The Animated Celebration, will play across select locations the United States, Canada, and the United Kingdom.
