A24’s ‘The Iron Claw’ to Release in December

A date has been set for Sean Durkin’s highly-anticipated wrestling biopic The Iron Claw. Written and directed by Durkin, the movie will star Zac Efron, Lily James, Harris Dickinson, Maura Tierney, Holt McCallany, Jeremy Allen White, MJF, Chavo Guerrero Jr, and Ryan Nemeth.

The movie will focus on the Von Erichs, a family of some of the most successful wrestlers in the world. Efron will be playing Kevin Von Erich, whilst Dickinson, Allen White, and Stanley Simons will respectively play David Von Erich, Kerry Von Erich, and Mike Von Erich.

The movie will make its way to theatres on December 22, a prime date for any Awards season hopefuls. However, it is not expected to premiere in any festivals at this stage, as it is currently under post-production. Check out a first-look image of the movie below:
