Closing Out Emmys Phase One with Updated Predictions & Thoughts

We are finally here, the last day of voting for phase one of the 2023 Emmys. To say it has been a busy Emmy season for us here at Awards Radar would be a massive understatement. With hundreds of FYC interviews (120+ video interviews), 4 The ‘Verse! episodes/interviews with The Boys and Star Trek: Picard favorites, and 6 episodes of the brand new show TV Topics (contact me if interested in being a guest.)

My sincere gratitude goes out to the talented people that spoke with us about the work we love and want to support – actresses, actors, directors, costume designers, hair and makeup, composers and many more. A huge thank you to all of the publicists for your endless and persistent efforts to make all of this happen day and night – without you we would be fishing without a hook. Finally, the networks, studios and streamers that we partnered. We are looking forward to more. Don’t forget, we cover TV year round!

Finally, to say I am proud of the Awards Radar TV team for all their amazing would be a bigger understatement than the previous. Abe FriedtanzerNiki CruzDanny JarabekMaxance VincentDiego PeraltaLucas LongacreEmilia YuNorm FelkerCory StillmanLeila Jordan, Joshua Harris, Amanda Spears and our AR leader Joey Magidson all contributed to the incredible interviews and content. Thank you all.

Below you will find all of my latest Emmy predictions. They may change between now and nomination morning, but I feel pretty good about them. That is unless you decide to recognize other talented people in our Awards Radar Drama FYC and Comedy FYC. Dozens of nomination-worthy performances and shows are provided for you to consider – including some ‘spotlight picks.’

There are several names that have been in my predictions from day one while others slipped in during these final days. While I will not get into favorites, I feel some well timed releases will help some contenders who were on the bubble. Overall, I am expecting a shift towards some new blood with about half the slots filled with returning nominees in many categories. But, unlike in recent years, that new blood may have enough support behind them to take home the nominations if not the wins. I am praying for at least one miracle.

Enjoy my predictions. We will continue covering television 365 days a year with plenty of Emmys phase two in the mix. Emmy Predictions, ‘Before Emmy Gold‘ pieces, interviews, reviews and much, much more.

Best of luck to all Emmy contenders!!
