New York Film Critics Circle Gives Top Prize to ‘TÁR’

This afternoon, the New York Film Critics Circle were announced. Taking the top honor is Todd Field‘s TÁR, named Best Feature. The film also took Best Actress for Cate Blanchett, while Martin McDonagh‘s The Banshees of Inisherin was the only other movie with multiple prizes, winning Best Actor for Colin Farrell (shared with After Yang) and Best Screenplay for McDonagh.

Best Non-Fiction Film: All the Beauty and the Bloodshed
Best International Film: EO
Best Actress: Cate Blanchett, TÁR
Best Actor: Colin Farrell, The Banshees of Inisherin and After Yang
Best Supporting Actress: Keke Palmer, Nope
Best Supporting Actor: Ke Huy Quan, Everything Everywhere All at Once
Best First Film: Aftersun
Best Animated Feature: Marcel the Shell With Shoes On
Best Screenplay: Martin McDonagh, The Banshees of Inisherin
Best Cinematography: Claudio Miranda, Top Gun: Maverick
Special Awards: Jake Perlin, dGenerate Films, Jafar Panahi
