‘King Richard’ Releases New “Be Alive” Trailer

Will Smith‘s new film King Richard, directed by Reinaldo Marcus Green, is getting quite a lot of attention from critics and audiences alike ahead of its wide theatrical release later this year. In fact, many are calling Smith’s performance of the best of his career (Read Joey’s review of the movie out of Film Fest 919 here).

Based on a true story, King Richard follows the journey of Richard Williams, an undeterred father instrumental in raising two of the most extraordinarily gifted athletes of all time, who will end up changing the sport of tennis forever. Driven by a clear vision of their future and using unconventional methods, Richard has a plan that will take Venus and Serena Williams from the streets of Compton, California to the global stage as legendary icons.

Today, a brand new trailer for the film has been released, featuring the song “Be Alive” performed by Beyoncé. Take a look at the trailer here:

Smith stars alongside Aunjanue Ellis, Saniyya Sidney, Demi Singleton, Tony Goldwyn, Jon Bernthal, and Dylan McDermott to name a few.

King Richard is scheduled to be released by Warner Bros. Pictures theatrically on November 19, 2021.
