The first official teaser trailer for Pablo Larraín‘s Spencer has been released. This comes only a day after the first official poster for the film, which stars Kristen Stewart, was revealed.
The plot synopsis is as follows: “The marriage of Princess Diana and Prince Charles has long since grown cold. Though rumors of affairs and a divorce abound, peace is ordained for the Christmas festivities at the Queen’s Sandringham Estate. There’s eating and drinking, shooting and hunting. Diana knows the game. But this year, things will be profoundly different. Spencer is an imagining of what might have happened during those few fateful days.”
NEON posted the one-minute look on their Twitter account, stating: “She was always Diana Spencer”. This first trailer reveals very little about the plot of the film, but instead showcases the surroundings and focuses on Princess Diana, played by Kristen Stewart. From this teaser trailer alone, it is clear that there is a lot of potential for Stewart to be a big contender this awards season.
