Official Trailer for ‘Robot Dreams’ Reveals More of the Oscar-Nominated Animated Gem

For months now, we’ve heard Joey and Steve on the site rave about Robot Dreams. The Pablo Berger film was nominated for Best Animated Feature at the Academy Awards, but still hasn’t fully been released. That changes at the end of next month, so NEON has finally revealed an official trailer for the movie. As you might imagine, it looks terrific, as you’ll see below.

This is the official ploy synopsis for the film:

Dog lives in Manhattan and he’s tired of being alone. One day he decides to build himself a robot, a companion. Their friendship blossoms, until they become inseparable, to the rhythm of 80’s NYC. One summer night, DOG, with great sadness, is forced to abandon ROBOT at the beach. Will they ever meet again?
