For years, Nat Wolff has been one of the more underrated young actors in Hollywood. His easy charm, likability, and choices in roles make anything he’s in well worth seeing. Early on, a few collaborations with Josh Boone, in particular Stuck in Love and The Fault in Our Stars, helped to establish Wolff as a talent to watch. The ensuing years have done nothing to change that. In fact, his most recent role, in Mainstream, only further proves that as he continues on as an adult in the industry, great things are headed his way. When I was given a chance to talk to him about his latest film, it was an easy yes. After all, having spoken before, a few years back, there was a casual vibe, which helped in breaking down one of the odder movies of the year.
Below, you can hear my chat with Wolff. As you might imagine, Mainstream is spoken about plenty, as it represents a return engagement with filmmaker Gia Coppola. Mostly, I just picked his brain and enjoyed going back and forth with an interesting guy. I suspect you’ll have as good a time listening as we had talking. Wolff is a good dude, and that’s always a nice thing to confirm in this business.
Here now is my conversation with Nat Wolff, co-star of Mainstream. Enjoy:
