Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ Debuts a First Image

Principal photography on Killers of the Flower Moon, the new film from Martin Scorsese, may have only begun less than a month ago, but we’re already got our first look at an image from the film thanks to Osage News.

The image gives us a look at Leonardo DiCaprio in his role as Ernest Burkhart, a cattleman in 1920s Oklahoma, and co-star Lily Gladstone as his wife Mollie.

The film, adapted by Eric Roth from the nonfiction book by David Grann, tells the true story of a series of murders that occurred against the Osage tribe and the ensuing investigation.

Alongside DiCaprio and Gladstone, the film stars Jesse PlemonsRobert De Niro, Tantoo Cardinal, and Scott Shepherd

Set to be distributed by Paramount Pictures and Apple TV+, the film has no release date set as of yet, but surely some are holding on to hope that we may see it by the end of 2021 – although it’s more likely that we’re looking at a fall 2022 release instead.

Take a look at the first image from Killers of the Flower Moon below:
