Welcome back to the Awards Radar Podcast. In each episode, Editor Joey Magidson (that’s me!) will be joined by some of the staff of Awards Radar to talk about the latest in film, television, and entertainment in general. The show will obviously have an awards season slant to it, but we won’t forget about other movies and shows, that’s for sure!
For episode 308, I’m joined once again by friend and colleague Kate Schroeder, producer at Access Hollywood (until Friday, when she becomes joins JustWatch), as this week’s co-host, with producer Steve Prusakowski working behind the scenes and, of course, handling TV Topics. Kate is back to chat with me about the Toronto International Film Festival, which I’ve returned from, and the upcoming New York Film Festival, which we’ll both be dipping our toes into. Kate has previously attended TIFF, so she has questions about this year’s fest, especially as compared to the Telluride Film Festival that we both only got back from a week or so ago. Among the titles from TIFF we discuss are I Play Rocky (rave review here) and The Last Photograph (reviewed here). Throw in her thoughts on Primetime (I see it shortly, so I’ll react in a review next week) as well as mine on Resident Evil (reviewed here), and we have a nice little show for you all. Kate is going to be coming back and may well be one of the prime co-hosts for the show going forward (Robert should be back next week, and Adam will be on from time to time as well), so definitely let us know how you’re liking her. Plus, look out for some contributions from her on the site itself, as she’s joined the team…
As always my friends and faithful listeners/readers, I do hope you all enjoy the latest episode of the Awards Radar Podcast, our 308th one to date (here’s to many more). Of course, feel free to revisit the previous installments by clicking the Podcast tab (here) on the top of the page. Plus, listen to us on Apple Podcasts (iTunes), Spotify, and other platforms. More to come each and every single week (or close to it), so from the bottom of my heart, thank you for listening!
