2025 Gotham Film Awards Give Best Feature to ‘One Battle After Another’

Moments ago, the 2025 Gotham Film Awards came to an end at Cipriani Wall Street in New York City with Paul Thomas Anderson‘s One Battle After Another taking the Best Feature prize. The film (which is currently the frontrunner Joey Magidson’s Oscar Prediction for Best Picture) went home with its first major award of the season. Leading the way with three wins and emerging victorious from all of the categories it was nominated in was Jafar Panahi‘s Palme d’Or winner It Was Just an Accident.

During the ceremony, alongside the competitive awards, the Gotham Institute honored a series of special tributes:

  • The inaugural Gotham Musical Tribute went to Kate Hudson and Hugh Jackman for Song Sung Blue;
  • The Director Tribute was presented to Noah Baumbach for Jay Kelly;
  • Tessa Thompson received the Spotlight Tribute for Hedda;
  • The Ensemble Tribute celebrated the cast of Sinners;
  • Guillermo del Toro’s Frankenstein was recognized with the Vanguard Tribute;
  • Jeremy Allen White and Scott Cooper earned the Cultural Icon Tribute for Springsteen: Deliver Me from Nowhere;
  • The Visionary Tribute was bestowed upon Luca Guadagnino and Julia Roberts for After the Hunt.
