Guy Ritchie to Direct ‘Road House 2’ with Jake Gyllenhaal Returning

The remake of Road House last year was a good bit of fun, perhaps even more so than we should have expected. Our own editor Joey Magidson enjoyed it, reviewing the film here. Well, it appears that a sequel is deep in development, with Jake Gyllenhaal returning in the lead role. As for the director? That won’t be Doug Liman again, though it’s still a pretty big name, as you’ll see below.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, Guy Ritchie is going to take over directing duties from Liman with this sequel. Will Beall is writing the screenplay, which brings back Gyllenhaal as Dalton. No other details are known, but Road House 2 is happening. Stay tuned for more on this one as it comes together.
