Robert Pattinson Eyed to Join ‘Dune: Messiah’

As cameras could begin to roll on the third installment in the Dune franchise this summer, it has now been reported that Robert Pattinson has been circling a role in Denis Villeneuve‘s upcoming adaptation of Frank Herbert‘s Dune: Messiah, potentially Scytale, the main villain of the third book of the series.

No offer has formally been made to the actor, who is currently filming Christopher Nolan’s The Odyssey. However, this is certainly exciting news as Villeneuve continues to attract the biggest stars for his most ambitious project yet, one that could certainly cap off the trilogy of Paul Atreides’ story in a big way.

The film is reported to be released on December 18, 2026, with a planned filming start date in the summer, though Messiah has not been formally announced by Warner Bros. or Legendary. Stay tuned for more updates soon!
