The ‘Clayface’ Film Has Its Director

If you listen to the Awards Radar Podcast, you’ve surely heard Joey and Myles speak fondly of the idea of a Clayface film. In fact, Joey has dedicated multiple Sunday Scaries pieces like this one here to the subject. Well, DC is moving forward with the project, to the point where the powers that be have settled on a director.

According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Clayface movie has tapped James Watkins to helm. The director most recently made the See No Evil remake. Mike Flanagan has penned the script, which is pretty exciting, so this could be moving forward fairly quickly. No casting details yet, but with a $40 million budget and James Gunn having said that many of the DC animated characters will have the same actor playing them in live action, the possibilities of Alan Tudyk getting the part is strong.
