We already knew that filmmaker Damien Chazelle had his next project set up at Paramount, though there had been no details in almost a year. Well, that seems to have changed, as we now know what the film is supposedly about, as well as who he’s hoping is going to star in the leading role.
According to Puck and Matthew Belloni, Chazelle’s next movie is an Evel Knievel biopic. His choice to play the legendary stunt performer? Leonardo DiCaprio. The hope is to start shooting the film this year, assuming a deal with DiCaprio can be made. This is very interesting material for Chazelle, while feeling like a very strong fit for DiCaprio. If this comes together as everyone hopes, it’s a very fun project to look out for.
