Tom Holland to Co-Star in Christopher Nolan’s Next Film with Matt Damon

As Christopher Nolan ramps up to direct his yet-to-be-titled film starring Matt Damon, The Hollywood Reporter has announced that a brand-new A-lister has joined the cast of his latest project: Tom Holland.

Nolan also wrote the screenplay for a movie that will be released exclusively in cinemas on July 17, 2026, with Universal Pictures distributing. Of course, as with any Nolan movie, plot details are kept under wraps. The only piece of information available is that it will be shot in IMAX (of course!) and set in the past.

After a break from acting, Holland is ramping up next year with three projects: Nolan’s movie, Spider-Man 4, and Avengers: Doomsday. The latter film is expected to begin shooting in early 2025, but there’s no official word on whether or not he will return as Spider-Man in this next installment of the Avengers saga. But with the fourth opus of the Spider-Man franchise having likely repercussions on the MCU, we will most certainly see our friendly neighborhood back for more adventures with Earth’s Mightiest Heroes soon.
